MONDAY (10/27): Adam Sandler Day

Celebrate Adam Sandler Day by dressing in the actor's signature baggy, comfortable style—like oversized t-shirts, baggy shorts, and backwards hats—or in outfits inspired by his well-known movie characters, such as Happy Gilmore or Billy Madison. This day celebrates lightheartedness, comfort and individual style!

VETERANS DAY ASSEMBLY & SLIDESHOW

One of the most cherished traditions at Olympic View Middle School is our Veterans Day slideshow, a heartfelt tribute to the heroes in our lives. This special presentation honors the friends and family members of our staff and students who have bravely served or are currently serving in the military.

If you would like to have a veteran featured in this year’s slideshow, please complete the Google Form linked below.
  • Families who submitted a photo in previous years do not need to resubmit if your student still attends OV and no information has changed.
  • If you would like to update or add new details or photos, please submit a new form.
Submit your veteran here: https://forms.gle/9e4J4zLCj63xN8os7

This slideshow will be shared during our Veterans Day Assembly on November 6th. Please submit your information by October 30.

Thank you for helping us celebrate and honor the courage and sacrifice of these remarkable individuals.

The words 'LIBRARY NEWS' are displayed over a blurred background of bookshelves.
Students are allowed to check out at least 3 books from the library every two weeks (sometimes students have up to 5 books on their account, if they’ve asked and established they are friends of books!).

One of the ways to help your child with their reading is to share reading. Even as children get older, reading with them is a great way to comprehend, listen, and have conversations about what you’re reading together. Share some of your favorite books you read when you were in middle school. Books by Gordon Korman (Schooled is my favorite), Jennifer Nielsen (A Night Divided is a great one) and Alan Gratz (Refugee) are all great choices. If you would like to find a book to read aloud with your children or participate in a family read, message our librarian and she can make some suggestions.
