2024-25 OVMS Sports Information

Eligibility:

All students must have completed all of their online paperwork through Final Forms(parent and student sections), a copy of a current Sports Physical must be on file at school, and must purchase an ASB Card. They will not be able to participate until these requirements are met. 

Students must also have a 2.0 GPA and no “N’s. Students will be given a probationary period to meet this standard if they are not eligible at the beginning of the season. For Season 1, grades from last year (Tri 3) will be used to determine initial eligibility.

Season 1

Football

• All 7th and 8th Graders may participate. (There will be one team.)
• Season begins Sept 9^th
• Final Game on Nov 4^th
• Practice M-Th from 2:45-4:45 (Fridays TBD)

Softball

• All 7th and 8th Grade Girls may try out. (There will be one team.)
• Season begins Sept 9^th
• Final Game on Oct 30th
• Practice M-Th from 2:45-4:45 (Fridays TBD)

Cross-Country

• All 7th and 8th Graders may participate (6th graders may practice)
• Season begins Sept 9^th
• Final Meet on Oct 30^th
• Practice M-Th from 2:45-4:00 (Fridays TBD)

Season 2

Boys Basketball

• All 7th and 8th Grade Boys may try out. (There will be one 7th and one 8th Grade Team.)
• Season begins Nov 12^th
• Final Game on Jan 15th
• Practice M-Th from 2:45-4:45 (Fridays TBD)

Girls Volleyball

• All 7th and 8th Grade Girls may try out. (There will be one 7th and one 8th Grade Team.)
• Season begins Nov 5^th
• Final Game on Jan 15th
• Practice M-Th from 2:45-4:45 (Fridays TBD)

Soccer

• All 7th and 8th Graders may try out. (There will be one Boys and one Girls Team.)
• Season begins Nov 5^th
• Final Game on Dec 19th
• Practice M-Th from 2:45-4:15 (Fridays TBD)

Season 3

Wrestling

• All 7th and 8th Graders may participate (6th graders may practice)
• Season begins Feb 13^th
• Final Meet on April 4th
• Practice M-Th from 2:45-4:45 (Fridays TBD)
