OV Athletics 2025-2026

Eligibility:  All students must have completed all their online paperwork through Final Forms (parent and student sections), a copy of a current Sports Physical must be on file at school, and must purchase an ASB membership. They will not be able to participate until these requirements are met. 

Students must also be passing 5 of their 6 classes. Students will be given a probationary period to meet this standard if they are not eligible at the beginning of the season. For Season 1, grades from last year (Tri 3) will be used to determine initial eligibility.

Season 1

Football          

• All 7th and 8th Graders may participate. There will be one team.
• Season begins Sept. 8th
• Final Game on Oct 29th
• Practice M-Th from 2:45-4:45 (Fridays TBD)

Softball          

• All 7th and 8th Grade Girls may try out. There will be one team.
• Season begins Sept. 8th
• Final Game on Oct. 29th
• Practice M-Th from 2:45-4:45 (Fridays TBD)

Cross Country           

• All 7th and 8th Graders may participate (6th graders may practice)
• Season begins Sept. 8th
• Final Meet on Oct. 29th
• Practice M-Th from 2:45-4:00 (Fridays TBD)

Season 2

Boys Basketball        

• All 7th and 8th Grade Boys may try out. There will be one 7th and one 8th Grade Team.
  • TRYOUT DATES/TIMES:
  • Nov. 5-6 from 2:45-4:45
  • Nov. 7 from 1:30-3:30pm
• Season begins Nov. 5th
• Final Game on Jan. 14^th
• First practice after teams are selected will be on Wednesday, Nov. 12^th.
  • Friday practices for both teams are 1:30-3pm (dates TBD)
• Practices (Mondays – Thursdays starting on Nov. 12):
  • 7^th Graders: M-Th from 2:45-4:45pm
  • 8^th Graders:  M-Th from 6:15-7:45am       

Girls Volleyball         

• All 7th and 8th Grade Girls may try out. There will be one 7th and one 8th Grade Team.
  • TRYOUT DATES/TIMES:
  • Nov 3-4 from 2:45-4:45
  • Nov. 5 from 2:45-4pm (7th grade) and 4:00-5:15pm (8th grade)
    • 8th grade girls can go to the supervised area in the small gym if they need to between school and practice.
• Season begins Nov. 3rd
• Final Game on Jan. 14th
• Practice M-Th from 2:45-4:45 (Fridays TBD)

Soccer                           

• All 7th and 8th Graders may try out. There will be one Boys and one Girls Team.
  • TRYOUT DATES/TIMES:
  • Nov. 3-5 from 2:45-4:30pm
• Season begins Nov. 3rd
• Final Game on Dec. 18th
• Practice M-Th from 2:45-4:15 (Fridays TBD)

Season 3

Wrestling                     

• All 7th and 8th Graders may participate (6th graders may practice)
• Season begins Feb. 12th
• Final Meet on Apr. 1st
• Practice M-Th from 2:45-4:45 (Fridays TBD)
