Starting on 2/28, we will provide students time (during CREW Time on Tuesdays) to focus on academic success and give students the opportunity (with teacher permission) to move to another classroom to get their work done or get extra help if invited by the teacher. Artificial Intelligence
AI @ OV
Students at Olympic View are learning about Artificial Intelligence and the how/pros/cons of using it:
  • for school (depends on AI model, the assignment and the individual teachers’ directions)
  • for a students’ personal life organization and simplifying
  • for the future as many professions and jobs will be using this technology

This month, as part of the library lesson, most students are discovering goblin.tools which was designed for neurodivergent learners and provides support for breaking down larger tasks and communication. Canva and Adobe Firefly are also available on district networks and computers. Some teachers have given students assignments explicitly using these tools. However, other Large Language Models (ChatGPT, Co-Pilot, Gemini for example) are currently blocked by the district.
